About Oliver
Hi, my name is Oliver, and I have always enjoyed learning maths for as long as I can remember. I find it rewarding to share my knowledge with others, and love the shared sense of achievement from reaching a breakthrough with difficult topics. I have received a 2:1 in my first year at Warwick, after I achieved three A*s at A level in Maths, Further Maths and Physics, as well as an A in Chemistry. I also gained gold in the Senior UKMT Maths Challenge, followed by achieving best in my year in the subsequent " Senior Kangaroo" round.
I am also an employee at Summit Tutors, and having been inspired by my own teachers, I have enjoyed being able to pass on what they have taught me, as well as the love for maths that they have helped to grow.

When teaching, I like to explain a concept, provide examples, and then give questions to help students work through, with an appropriate level of guidance. I would typically choose to give an hour's lesson, either tailored to a specific topic requested by the student, or working through the curriculum. I have experience helping and tutoring peers and siblings, receiving positive feedback, at both GCSE and A level. I have a friendly and patient approach, and like to help build an understanding as opposed to just memorisation. I am adaptable and able to fill a lesson with engaging and useful content, regardless of how long it takes to grasp a concept.
My current availability ranges from Tuesdays, Wednesday afternoons, Friday evenings and weekends.
