About Roberta
Hi, I’m Roberta, a final-year MORSE student at the University of Warwick, studying Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics. I tutor Maths and Statistics for GCSE and A-Level students, helping learners build confidence, improve exam technique and develop a clearer understanding of difficult topics.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals and confidence level. I usually begin by identifying the areas they find most challenging, then break topics down into clear, manageable steps. I use a mixture of explanation, worked examples, guided practice and exam-style questions, so students can understand both the method and how to apply it under exam conditions. I place a strong emphasis on problem-solving, spotting common mistakes and building independent thinking, rather than just memorising procedures.
For statistics, I can support students with topics such as probability, distributions, hypothesis testing, sampling, correlation, regression and interpreting data. For pure maths, I can help with algebra, calculus, trigonometry, functions, coordinate geometry and other GCSE or A-Level topics. I am also happy to focus sessions around homework, revision plans, past papers or upcoming tests.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes, although 90-minute sessions can work well for older students, intensive revision or exam preparation. I aim to make lessons calm, encouraging and structured, giving students space to ask questions and make mistakes while steadily improving their accuracy and confidence.
I previously tutored Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics students during my gap year after being invited back by my former school. I achieved an A* in A-Level Mathematics, an A in self-taught Further Mathematics, and Grade 9s in GCSE Mathematics and English Language. My degree has also developed my statistical, analytical and problem-solving skills further, which I bring into my tutoring.
My lessons are suitable for GCSE students, A-Level Maths students, A-Level Statistics students, and students who want extra support with mathematical confidence, exam technique or independent study habits.
