About Edward
I'm Edward, a current student studying Physics at the University of Warwick.
I have always enjoyed learning how things work, by finding simple, intuitive ways to explain difficult ideas.
Tutoring gives me the opportunity to help both myself and my students develop on the fundamental understanding behind Physics and Maths. I enjoy working with motivated students to improve their confidence in understanding these subjects at a deeper level.
While modern AI tools provide quick answers, I can instead guide a student's thinking by asking the right questions to help them develop.
As a current student, I have recent experiences of GCSEs and A-Levels, meaning I can provide relevant advice and support.

I like to teach in a way that focuses on understanding the concepts of the content, rather than memorisation. In my experience students learn most effectively when they understand why something works, not just how to apply a method. The best way to do this is through analogies, visual explanations, and links between ideas.
A typical lesson would involve working through concepts, doing hard questions, and making connections between topics.
My lessons are best suited for students who are doing well and want to push themselves further.
During my A-Levels, I volunteered to help GCSE students with their work, learning valuable skills on how to help their mindset when approaching learning.
