About Maria
I graduated high school with a 4.0 and an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. I have earned a 4.0 in my calculus classes in college, and have experience in calculus, statistics, linear algebra, and proofs.
I want to help students feel confident in their abilities no matter their background, and to foster a challenging learning environment that helps students move forward from every starting point. I am excited to serve as a Teaching Assistant for the Introductory Computer Science course sequence at UW in the Fall!

I am passionate about learning and helping students engage with educational material in a way that takes into account individual needs to foster a personalized and driven learning environment. I believe that a strong understanding through deep delving into ideas behind each concept will provide necessary foundation to proceed with tackling problems. Typical lesson plans combine foundational reinforcement and practice problems that challenge each student's individual skill level.
