About Steven

I am a current First Year student at the University of Waterloo studying CS/BBA Double Degree. I have a Math GPA of 87% and I graduated High School with a Top 6 average of 95% with 99% in AP Advanced Function, AP Calculus, and Data Management.

I have a strong interest in working with AI and am currently striving to improve my coding skills and increase my experience in the field.

I also have an interest in music as I studied piano for over 13 years and have completed my ARCT examinations. I am able to also provide assistance with Theory work if required.

Personally, I have unique approaches to different problems which I am able to share and explain to my students. I believe that I possess a strong work ethic and organizational skills which shows in my academic success.

About the lesson

My lessons are available for a wide range of students from elementary school to high school. My personal philosophy is that everybody has different styles of learning where they achieve the most success. I will always shape my teaching style based on the individual needs of each tutee instead of the usual strict curriculum other tutors/teachers follow regardless of the level and needs of tutees.

I also believe that instead of simply having someone tell you the right solution to problems, students should be guided to find the solutions themselves. In my sessions, I will provide valuable tips and insights in order to guide students on the right path and arrive at a solution themselves. As well, I will share with them my experience as a current student and provide strategies which will allow them to work more efficiently.
