About Max
Hello! I'm a University of Waterloo student studying Economics and Business with a specialization in Financial Economics. I'm passionate about helping students build confidence in subjects that can often feel intimidating, especially economics, mathematics, and statistics.
Throughout my studies, I've developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills while maintaining a patient and supportive approach to learning. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take the time to explain concepts in ways that make sense to each individual.
Whether you're preparing for a test, working through assignments, or looking to strengthen your understanding of a subject, I'm committed to creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where you can ask questions freely and make steady progress toward your academic goals.

My goal as a tutor is to help students truly understand concepts rather than simply memorize formulas or procedures. I adapt each lesson to the student's learning style and focus on building a strong foundation before moving on to more advanced topics.
A typical lesson begins by reviewing any questions or challenging material, followed by working through examples together and then practicing similar problems independently. I encourage students to explain their thinking, as this helps identify gaps in understanding and builds confidence.
As a University of Waterloo Economics and Business student specializing in Financial Economics, I have a strong background in economics, mathematics, statistics, and analytical problem-solving. I strive to make lessons engaging by connecting concepts to real-world examples whenever possible.
I offer tutoring for high school students as well as first-year university students looking for support in economics, mathematics, and introductory statistics. Whether you're preparing for exams, working through assignments, or aiming to improve your overall understanding, I'll help you develop the skills and confidence to succeed.
