About Neliswa

I am very passionate about seeing learners reaching their full academic potential. I have encountered students who have difficulty in grasping Mathematical literacy and science content. Not because they are incapable of understanding the content but just lack the suitable 'factor' that will assist them in making sure they understand the content. I can promise you that I am that missing 'factor', not only do I come with the curriculum knowledge attained through five years of studying I also come with very essential attributes that will ensure that you reach your full academic potential. To name a few of these attributes, I am responsible and accountable, very passionate about my learners' success, patient and understanding and also believe that every learner can succeed in their studies. With this positive mind and attitude I sure can help you to envision yourself achieving excellent grades and help you in achieving them.

About the lesson

I am willing to teach NS students (grade 7 to 9) and Mathematical literacy students (grade 10 to 12). I use the learner centered approach when teaching, where I focus on the learners, making sure they are engaging with the curriculum to maximize understanding of content. I also provide different learning materials and methods that are creative and unique to cater for different learners' needs, since people learn differently. I am proficient in isiZulu and English and can understand a bit of Xhosa. In my lessons I do allow learners to use their mother tongue to reduce language as a barrier to teaching and learning. I promise to make learning fun and productive at the same time.

Neliswa gave my Grade 8 child tutoring sessions in English and Natural Sciences. Her teaching approach is learner-centred, she is very dedicated and passionate about teaching. She was able to improve my child's grade average to 70% in English and 50% in Natural Sciences, this was a huge improvement considering my child's previous academic performances. She is principled and disciplined. I highly recommend her.
