About Alex
ABOUT ME:
I studied at art school throughout my childhood where I began developing my creative voice early. Entering the arts and graphic design industries in my early 20's (over 20 years ago). I became known as someone who connects well with people and ideas — able to lock onto a message and creatively tell its story in a way that allows others to connect with it too. Later I coupled my experience with a diploma in graphic design..
Over the years I have created illustration s for editorial, web, theatrical posters, retail stores and much more.
AS A TEACHER:
I've been a teacher/trainer for over 20 years. Mentoring and imparting what I've learnt about design and creativity to those looking to get started or to broaden their skills.
I enjoy breaking down the technical side of things while also focusing on the creative soul of the work, assisting you to progress from idea through to finished work. I believe personal success is in your ability to see an idea through — or at least have fun learning from all the things that go wrong along the way!

From pencil to computer, how to progress your illustrations from an idea through to a finished piece.
