About Jeff

Hello there! I'm Jeffry, and I am passionate about teaching English. My journey to becoming an English teacher took an exciting online route, where I immersed myself in various digital platforms and resources. Through online courses and interactive learning modules, I honed my skills and gained valuable insights into effective teaching methodologies.

During my college years, I pursued English at the university level, immersing myself in honors classes that challenged me to explore the depths of the language. These rigorous courses not only enriched my understanding of English literature and linguistics but also inspired me to share my knowledge with others.

The combination of my online learning experiences and university-level studies has equipped me with a diverse set of skills and perspectives. I believe that education is a lifelong journey, and my continuous exploration of the English language allows me to bring fresh and dynamic insights to my teaching.

In my free time, I've been learning different languages such as Tagalog, Bisayan, and Japanese. Although I'm not as fluent in those languages as I am with English, I am conversationally able to inject those in our lessons in case your primary language is one of those three.

I am dedicated to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for my students, drawing from both my online learning experiences and my academic achievements. About the lesson

As a TOEFL teacher, my lessons are characterized by an engaging and participatory approach. I prioritize active learning by providing ample examples and encouraging students to construct their own sentences. My teaching style emphasizes hands-on practice, allowing students to apply the concepts they've learned immediately.

During my lessons, I guide students through various exercises that require them to use TOEFL-related skills, such as reading, listening, speaking, and writing. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable experimenting with the language. Importantly, I employ a step-by-step correction process, providing constructive feedback to help students refine their sentences and improve their language proficiency gradually.

By fostering a dynamic and interactive 1-on-1 atmosphere, I empower my students to take ownership of their learning. Through the consistent practice of constructing sentences and receiving targeted corrections, my students develop the language skills necessary to excel in the English language.
