About Samantha
My teaching approach is centered on helping each student find their own voice through the piano. I combine a strong technical foundation with expressive tools like classical phrasing, articulation techniques, and dynamic shaping to bring music to life. Students learn not only how to play the notes, but how to speak through them. In lessons, we focus on tone, mood, and storytelling, using imagery to make music more personal and vivid. I guide students to listen deeply—to feel the rise and fall of a phrase, and to understand the emotion behind each piece. Performance memory is developed through thoughtful repetition, inner hearing, and connecting with the music on an emotional level. Whether a student dreams of mastering a Beethoven sonata or reimagining a favorite pop song with elegance and depth, I help them build the skills to do both with confidence. I work especially well with students who love to explore feeling and meaning in music. Each lesson is shaped around the student’s goals and strengths. I support their creativity, and help turn musical ideas into clear, expressive performances. With patience, insight, and care, I encourage growth not just in ability, but in artistry.

With six years of dedicated experience and a Licentiate of Music in Piano, I guide students on a journey beyond notes and rhythms. To me, the piano is not just an instrument—it is a canvas for storytelling, a vessel for imagery, and a mirror of the soul.
My teaching intertwines music with the rich worlds of literature and art, encouraging students to paint moods with sound and sculpt meaning through silence. Each piece becomes a poem, each phrase a brushstroke of emotion. I invite my students to feel the music deeply, to ask *why* a melody weeps or *how* a harmony breathes.
Through carefully chosen repertoire, we uncover symbolism, explore tonal colors, and shape musical narratives that speak to something greater than technique. Sensitive souls and creative minds will find a space to flourish—where vulnerability becomes strength, and artistry takes root.
Whether interpreting Chopin’s whispers or crafting their own musical tales, students learn to make music that resonates with the heart. Lessons are tailored, thoughtful, and filled with wonder.
