About Tristan
I am Tristan, a first-year Engineering Science student at the University of Toronto, one of Canada’s most rigorous and selective engineering programs. I have a strong academic background in mathematics and physics, and I enjoy helping students develop both confidence and clarity in these subjects.
I was recommended as a tutor by a teacher at an IB school in Berlin, and I take that responsibility seriously by preparing structured, effective lessons tailored to each student’s needs. I am reliable, patient, and focused on creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and working through challenges.
My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build the problem-solving skills and understanding needed for long-term success, especially for those interested in pursuing engineering or science in the future.

I am Tristan, a University of Toronto Engineering Science student offering tutoring in IB Mathematics and Physics (SL and HL). My approach focuses on building a deep understanding of core concepts first, then applying them through structured problem-solving and IB-style questions.
A typical lesson begins with reviewing material covered in class, identifying any gaps in understanding, and reinforcing key ideas. We then work through progressively challenging problems, including past papers, to develop exam technique and confidence under timed conditions.
What sets me apart is my focus on how to think through problems, not just memorize methods. I emphasize clear reasoning, efficient problem-solving strategies, and patterns commonly tested in IB exams, which is especially useful for students aiming to study engineering or related fields.
