About AKIA
Hi! I am a passionate and experienced tutor with a strong background in mathematics and economics. Having achieved a GCSE Maths grade 7 at just 12 years old and an A-Level in Maths at 15, I have a deep understanding of the subject and a proven ability to excel academically. I earned an A* in A-Level Economics and am currently pursuing a degree in the field, further strengthening my expertise. My experience in teaching began through homeschooling, where I successfully guided my younger sibling to achieve an A in A-Level Maths at 15. I take a patient, structured, and engaging approach to tutoring, helping students build confidence and achieve their full potential in maths and economics.

I offer two kinds of lessons, Economics and Mathematics at GCSE or A-level. In my tutoring sessions, which can be anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours, I focus on making complex concepts easy to understand and engaging for my students. Each session is tailored to the student's needs, ensuring that they get the most out of our time together. We typically start by reviewing any areas they’ve been struggling with, whether it’s a difficult topic from class, an assignment, or an exam question. I break down the concepts step by step, using clear explanations, real-world examples, and visual aids like graphs to make the material more intuitive. Once the student feels more comfortable with the topic, we go through practice questions together. I encourage them to think critically, explain their reasoning, and develop problem-solving strategies that will help them in exams. Rather than just giving answers, I guide them towards understanding the logic behind principles so they can apply them confidently. By the end of each session, my students leave with a stronger grasp of the subject, improved analytical skills, and the confidence to tackle the subject with a new perspective. I also provide follow-up tasks or recommendations to help reinforce learning between sessions. My goal is to make learning both accessible and enjoyable, helping my students achieve their best results.
