About Logy

Hello!! I'm a high school junior. Throughout my time in school, I have developed a deep appreciation for the precision of English grammar and the logic of science. Because I understand these subjects thoroughly and know how to communicate them clearly, I became a tutor to help other students build that same confidence. As a current student, I have a unique, firsthand understanding of modern classrooms, grading rubrics, and exam formats. I'm very patient when it comes to children and love to lighten the mood, as I believe that teaching roots from the fun and energy of the moment. I know exactly what teachers look for and where students typically get tripped up. This perspective allows me to bridge the gap between complex classroom lectures and simple, everyday understanding. My approach is highly structured, patient, and focused on active learning, ensuring that our session time is always used efficiently. I take my role as an educator seriously. About the lesson

My Approach as a Tutor: Making Science and Grammar Make Sense:
Hi! I am a high school junior who genuinely loves the logic of science and the structure of grammar. My goal as a tutor isn't to just help people memorize things for a quiz, but to help them actually understand how everything connects, whether that is a biology concept or a tricky essay outline.
Teaching Methods and Techniques: I like to use a conversational approach. Instead of just lecturing, I explain a topic, we do an example together, and then I let the student try it on their own so they can build confidence. I also love using regular analogies. Science and grammar can both feel dry, so comparing a cell membrane to a security guard or punctuation marks to traffic signs makes the ideas stick. I also start each session with a quick five-minute review of what we did last time to make sure they actually remembered it.
A Typical Lesson Plan: A normal one-hour session usually looks like this:
First 10 minutes: We catch up, talk about how school went this week, and look over any homework issues.
Next 20 minutes: We dive into the main topic for the day, like balancing chemical equations or fixing run-on sentences.
Next 20 minutes: We practice together. We will work through practice problems or edit paragraphs until they feel comfortable doing it alone.
Last 10 minutes: I have the student explain the concept back to me in their own words. If they can teach it to me, I know they really get it.
What Sets Me Apart: Since I am a student right now, I know exactly what it feels like to sit in these classes. I know how teachers word test questions, the common mistakes people make, and how overwhelming the workload can get. Because I love both English and science, I am also great at helping students write clear lab reports and organize their thoughts logically. I keep things casual, patient, and completely stress-free.
Who the Lessons Are For: I work best with elementary, middle school, and early high school students (up to 9th grade). I can help with general science, earth science, biology, and chemistry. For English, I can help with essay proofreading, sentence structure, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. I love working with students who feel stuck or anxious about these classes and just need someone to break it down simply.
