About Ali

Basketball has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and coaching became a natural extension of that passion. Since 2019 I have trained and developed athletes across all levels, from young beginners just discovering the game to advanced high school and professional players working to refine their craft. I have coached club teams with UYP Hoops and Magic Elite where I focused on player development, team strategy, and the fundamentals that translate to real success. Through personal one-on-one and small group training, I customize every workout to help athletes grow their skills, improve their basketball IQ, and build the confidence needed to perform under pressure. I am also a USA Basketball Gold Licensed Coach which reflects my commitment to teaching the game the right way. Before I started coaching, I spent years competing at a high level myself. I played AAU with Open Gym Premier and the Cali Rebels where I faced strong competition and learned what it takes to perform against top talent. At Canyon High School in Anaheim Hills I played varsity and earned the role of JV captain as a sophomore. Ball handling and playmaking have always been strengths of mine and those experiences taught me how to lead, how to stay composed, and how to push myself to reach new levels. Choosing to focus on education rather than playing in college shifted my path, but it opened the door for me to give back to the game in a meaningful way. Everything I teach now comes from what I learned through years of competing, studying the game, and helping athletes chase their own goals. My approach is simple. Work hard. Stay accountable. Grow into the best version of yourself on and off the court.

About the lesson

I have been coaching and training players since 2019 and I love seeing athletes grow into the best versions of themselves. I have worked with hoopers at every level from kids just learning how to dribble to high level competitive athletes who already know what they want and just need guidance to get there. Both training all my life as a player and coaching club teams with UYP Hoops and Magic Elite taught me how important development really is. When players buy in and put in the work together, the wins and the confidence come with it.

My workouts are all about getting better every rep. We warm up the right way then lock in on ball handling movement finishing and shooting that actually translates to games. We work hard but we make it fun too because the gym/park should be a place where players want to be. And whether we are breaking down euro steps or just learning how to make a simple layup feel natural, I meet each player where they are and help them level up at their own pace. At the end of the day I want every athlete to leave the court feeling sharper more confident and excited to come back for more.

I never knew I could unleash so many different areas of my game as with Coach Ali, he caught all my flaws and worked drill by drill rep by rep on getting them to become my strengths.
