About Kyle
Open mic regulars kept asking me how I played, so I started teaching. Those questions changed my perspective on the guitar after 13 years of playing gigs in the American South and Southwest.
My degree from USC provides the theory foundation for everything I share today. I have worked with hundreds of students over these past 2 decades. Playing guitar remains the core of my identity, and I prioritize your instrument handling first.
My approach stays playful and hands-on throughout our time together. I am patient with those who feel stuck in a rut. Reach out to start your musical journey.

Struggling with chord transitions often stops progress for self-taught players. I see adults get frustrated when their hands refuse to cooperate with their brains.
We use my 13 years of gigging experience to fix these common technical hurdles. Music theory and ear training become simple tools for your songwriting process. You will find that playing guitar while singing provides a deep sense of satisfaction. It is quite fun to finally hear your scales and modes lock into place.
