My Approach
I believe that learning design should mirror the real world, not just a textbook. My approach is "Logic-First, Tool-Second." While we will master industry-standard tools like Figma, Webflow, and Squarespace, my primary goal is to teach you the why behind every design decision.
As a professional instructor with six years of experience leading adult learners, I specialize in breaking down complex concepts—like Auto Layout, design systems, and user psychology—into manageable, "lightbulb" moments. Whether we are untangling a messy prototype or wordsmithing your resume, I provide a structured, supportive environment where you can fail safely and improve quickly.
A Typical Lesson Plan
I treat our sessions like a Design Critique or a Directed Workshop. A standard 60-minute session often looks like this:
The Check-In (5 mins): We review your progress since our last session and identify any "blockers."
The Deep Dive (40 mins): We tackle a specific technical skill (e.g., "Mastering Components in Figma") or a strategic project (e.g., "Refining your Case Study narrative").
Live Implementation (10 mins): You take the driver's seat. I watch your workflow and provide real-time feedback on your "design hygiene" and efficiency.
The Handover (5 mins): We define clear, actionable "homework" for you to complete before our next meeting.
