Imagine a small tea shop in your neighborhood. During winter, more people crave hot tea, so the demand increases. If the shop owner doesn’t make enough tea, customers may be willing to pay more, and prices might rise. However, in the summer, fewer people want hot tea, so the demand decreases, and the price may drop.
This is a real-life example of supply and demand—when demand is high and supply is low, prices tend to rise. When demand is low and supply is high.
