About Aviya
I am a second year college student with junior standing at the University of South Florida St Petersburg studying environmental science & policy. With my advanced academic standing I have found particular interest in research design and environmental field research, having completed online, lab and field research projects, one of which has been submitted to the state of Florida to be used to advance state wetland research.Beyond scientific research and teaching, I enjoy spending my free time writing music and poetry, hosting cultural events with my peers at the USF St. Petersburg campus and a host of outdoor activities from kayaking to hiking and fishing. I hope to combine my educational and recreational skills in the future to do research and educate students through the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FFWC).

I believe strongly that no education is a "one-size fits all" and that students learn best when they are challenged, so I focus on personalizing lesson plans and tutoring to best fit the students individual abilities and challenge their academic weaknesses in order to reframe their mindset on what education can be.
