About Ebad

Hey everyone! I'm really excited that you're considering me as your tutor! I’ve been through both high school and undergraduate life, so I know firsthand how tough it can be to fall behind or feel overwhelmed by the workload. I’ve been in that position myself, and it was thanks to the help of a friend that I managed to get back on track. Since then, I’ve wanted to offer others the same support and guidance that helped me. Sometimes, all it takes is a little push in the right direction to make a big difference. For context, I’m currently pursuing a Master's in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. Over the years, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching students from all over the world in subjects like high school mathematics, physics, and programming, as well as undergraduate courses in electrical engineering. My areas of expertise also include circuit analysis, object-oriented programming, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and Data Science. Rest assured, you're in capable hands. My schedule is flexible, so we’ll definitely be able to find a time that works best for you!

My name is Ebad, a master's student at the University of Waterloo with extensive experience in teaching mathematics, physics, and programming. Having served as a teaching assistant for both undergraduate and high school levels, I am passionate about making complex concepts approachable and engaging for students at any level.

In my lessons, I focus on building a strong conceptual foundation before diving into problem-solving techniques. Whether it's mastering calculus, understanding physics principles, or learning how to code, I aim to ensure that students grasp the underlying ideas and feel confident in applying them in various scenarios.

How I Plan My Lessons:

I believe that a well-structured lesson fosters deep understanding and encourages curiosity. To achieve this, I follow a carefully planned structure for each session:

Assessment of Prior Knowledge: I begin by assessing where each student stands and identifying any gaps in their understanding. This allows me to tailor the lessons to their individual needs.
Introduction to Key Concepts: I introduce new concepts in a way that builds upon their prior knowledge. I use real-world examples and interactive demonstrations to make abstract ideas more relatable.

Hands-on Problem Solving: I incorporate plenty of practice problems into each lesson, starting from basic to more complex. I guide students through initial examples, ensuring they understand each step before encouraging independent problem-solving.

Active Discussion and Feedback: Throughout the session, I encourage students to ask questions and engage in discussions. Immediate feedback on their work helps solidify their understanding.

Review and Follow-up: At the end of each lesson, I summarize the key points covered and provide additional resources or practice material if needed. Regular reviews ensure long-term retention of material.

My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where students not only excel in their studies but also develop a lasting appreciation for the subject matter.
