About Delamare

Hi! My name is Matteo DELAMARE. I studied at the Toulouse School of Economics (TSE) — ranked among the top 2 schools in Europe for economics and applied mathematics — and spent a year at the University of Oslo. I specialized in environmental economics and public policy, but I have a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, algebra, and probability. I graduated valedictorian of my Master's program, and scored 19/20 in mathematics at my A-levels. Beyond the grades, I’ve always been someone who wants to understand the bigger picture — I like to know why I'm learning something, and how it applies to real life. If you’re feeling lost in your math classes or can’t quite see the point of what you're studying, I can help. My goal is to make math clear, relevant, and engaging. I adapt my approach to your needs and work with you to overcome any obstacles in your learning. Whether it's about building confidence, improving your grades, or just making sense of the material — we’ll tackle it together.

About the lesson

I offer online maths and statistics lessons with a strong focus on understanding, perspective, and real-life relevance. My goal is not just to help students get the right answers, but to truly grasp why they’re learning a concept and how it connects to the world around them — whether it’s economics, data, or everyday problem-solving.

I’ve always enjoyed helping others learn: from supporting my classmates throughout school to leading professional seminars in microeconomics (a mix of applied maths, economics, and stats) for first-year university students. I recently graduated as valedictorian from a top European university in economics and applied mathematics, so I fully understand what schools and universities expect today. I’m also happy to share insights on my own academic and career path — I have references available if needed.

Lessons typically last one hour and are fully tailored to the student. Whether you're struggling with the basics or preparing for exams, I adapt my teaching to your level and goals. I believe in building confidence through clarity and curiosity — because once a student sees the “why,” progress comes naturally.
