"After 13 years playing Melbourne open mics, I know exactly which technical hurdles stall most guitarists. My teaching philosophy is shaped by 12 years of helping 106 students navigate everything from electric technique to complex modes.

"I start by conducting a diagnostic skills check before building a lesson plan that makes sense for your goals. This process ensures we address your specific gaps in acoustic technique or chord transitions without wasting time on fluff. My 12 years of gigging experience means I teach guitar as a tool for expression rather than just a collection of scales. I focus on electric technique and power chords because they are fundamental for building a strong foundation.
You will find that maintenance and tuning are treated with the same importance as lead guitar solos. I bring my VCA degree into the room to ensure you have the theory to support your playing. This methodical approach helps you master the instrument while keeping things fun. I really enjoy seeing my students finally find their own rhythm on the fretboard."
