About Paul

My past experiences have put me in a variety of situations in different states, school districts, neighborhoods, and environments. I have taught general, vocal, and instrumental music at every possible grade level and sometimes multiple areas of music within the same contracted position. By working collaboration with my fellow teachers and students, I took part in developing innovative generated ideas for how to have put student abilities on full display in performances. I have taught lessons that cover the full range of the music curriculum using Orff, Kodály, world music, and music technology and continue to improve my pedagogical knowledge of the musical landscape, namely through composition and improvisation. My students and me equally understand that their achievements serve as much a teacher as their mistakes, all of which have led me to be driven, motivated, and passionate not only as a teacher, but as a human being.

My educational philosophy is creating change through life’s musical pathways. Through that philosophy, my long range goals in education include, but are not limited to building virtues of confidence, resourcefulness, self-awareness, adaptability, perseverance, and diligence through holistic education and lifelong connections. In addition, my goal is for students to build college/career readiness through the implementation of structure, broad knowledge, use of technology and resources, troubleshooting techniques, and a thirst for said knowledge

Featuring a combination of streamlined lessons that use the method book with exercises and curriculum that fits just right for our students and their instruments, a streamlined jazz, classical, and contemporary music curriculum that serves as the best possible introductory point for each genre in question. And recommendations for resources in music theory, music tutorials, games, and more that are tailored towards your every need and musical desire. Whatever instrument you are envisioning, whatever musical pursuit you pursue, whatever your background, there is a path that has yet to be explored!

Lessons are offered virtually, in person, or at Congregation TBI in Warrington between 4:30-8PM Monday through Thursday, 4:30-6PM on Fridays, and 9-12AM on Saturdays and Sundays. If you live in the Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties, this would especially work for you. But if you don’t mind virtual lessons, you could be in Africa or Europe if you like. Either way your life is beckoning for a change, and it’s time to call on Musical Pathways, your best option for creating change through life’s musical pathways.
