About Elizabeth
My name is Elizabeth I started as a tutor in college for chemistry students. The joy I got from seeing those I tutored accomplish their goals is what inspired me to pursue teaching as a career. I began my degree as a teacher and completed it in the year 2019. My studies in the teaching program exposed me to different age groups, demographics, and economic status. I taught as a 4th grade teacher during the years 2019 and 2020 before the COVID pandemic. I gained skills in remote teaching and technology. Overall, I am a well-rounded educator that enjoys helping students of all ages!

My method of teaching is to facilitate students' learning by helping them relate to their studies on a personal level. Each student is different but everyone is able to learn if met at their level. A typical lesson plan for me starts with a hook that interests the student followed by an outline and key concepts of what we will learn and a breakdown of the information, completed by a proof of understanding. What sets me apart from other tutors is that I am able to make a positive relationship with each student I interact with. My lessons are for any students K-college.
