I have a PhD in Mathematics from West Virginia University. It took me a while ... I do like two things about Mathematics.
1) Working on truly unsolved problems!
2) Helping other students learn and be able to do solve their own Math problems, usually in a 1-1 setting.
When helping others, I find it saves time if I have a copy of or access to the assignment first. Gives me a chance to create a small lesson.
P.S. Stats is not my favorite topic. (There!)
I taught for several years at the college level, mostly in Minnesota and Wisconsin. I worked for 12 years in Boston tutoring Mathematics full-time for Pearson Education with some other very capable people. I enjoy working with young people (and old.)
