About Toshiko

I've been teaching for 35 years. Taught in universities, TAFEs, many secondary schools and primary schools, many highly known corporations' staff training courses (training Managers and other staff) and courses at schools that teach foreign languages to adults for many years. Still teaching at language schools and be registered at 2 major universities in Sydney for teaching Japanese. Have worked as interpreters and translators on many occasions in Sydney and in the past, in Melbourne too. Have taught English at a high school and for private tuitions too in NSW.

About the lesson

I am very good at teaching all of areas in Japanese teaching. They include speaking skills, listening, reading and writing, teaching cultural knowledge of both Japanese traditional aspects and current ones, communication skills, manner/etiquette and creating/enhancing learners' motivation and confidence in learning the language/subject.

Perfect! Toshiko 先生 is a really great tutor, I have a lot of fun learning in her lessons. I especially enjoy speaking and having conversations with her in Japanese. She is very helpful and nice as well, good person to be around! Classes are going very well, and I will definitely be continuing getting lessons from her :)

Raima has excellent attitude, competence and skills in learning and acquiring Japanese and its culture. It's very exciting to teach her.

The more she will read various kinds of articles, learn about traditional or comtemporay culture or society based things materials and discuss for the analysis, comparison with those from ones that she is familiar and knowledgeable with, the better it will be.

She wishes to develop her skills esp. in speaking. To develop speaking skills, one needs variety of stock in vocab, grammar, correct listening skills and ability to pronounce vocab and sentences correctly.

By both being able to talk about her own life, living/working environment in Japanese and external, general things about Japan and the world (same with writing about such in Japanese), the better it will be.
Reading and watching materials that are in Japanese are highly recommended.
