About Damien
I have just completed my PGCE in secondary science and am passionate about helping young people develop their science knowledge. I have extensive knowledge and experience in science from my education and career. I worked as a scientist in various laboratories, including the Manchester Cancer Research Centre. This involved working in a team investigating how biomarkers can provide information on cancer drugs in clinical trials. Although these roles were interesting and challenging, I felt much more suited to education as it allowed me to work with young people to develop their potential. If you choose me as a tutor I will work tirelessly to bring out the best in your child. I am a patient person and willing to work with students as long as it takes. As a dyslexic person myself, I understand that every person understands things at their own pace and has their own learning journey. Damien has demonstrated fantastic subject knowledge within lessons and is very good at breaking down the knowledge for learners to make it easier to understand. He has built excellent relationships with learners where they feel comfortable to ask him for help when they are struggling. Damien will be a fantastic tutor to help any child improve their grade in science.
Damien has an excellent subject knowledge of all 3 Sciences for both Combined Science and Triple Science. He also has excellent relationships with pupils from 11-16 year old. I am confident that Damien will provide excellent provision for students wanting to improve their grades.
