About Leah
I am an experienced science educator with more than 10 years of classroom teaching and instructional leadership experience. Throughout my career, I have worked with students with a wide range of learning styles, confidence levels, and academic needs. I am especially passionate about helping students make meaningful, real-world connections to what they are learning so that science feels relevant rather than intimidating. My approach is patient, supportive, and organized, with a strong focus on helping students understand concepts, build confidence, and become more independent learners.

I use a personalized, real-world approach to help students understand science concepts rather than simply memorize them. A typical session starts by identifying where the student is stuck, reviewing the concept together, connecting it to practical examples, and then applying it through guided practice. I also help students build study skills, organization, and confidence along the way. My lessons are best suited for middle and high school students needing support in biology, life science, general science, homework, test preparation, or academic organization.
