I like to teach utilizing many techniques. I love to explain things with both what I say as well as visuals for students who understand things better when they are drawn out or charted. Alongside these methods, I feel like having the student(s) interact through questions, polls, etc. is beneficial for learning as well. I typically like to have checkpoints where I check for understanding to make sure the student(s) is/are caught up and engaged.
I am a second year veterinary student, and I have had prior experience tutoring at college and graduate levels. I also enjoy working with younger students as well. I received my Bachelor's degree in Animal Science at Virginia Tech, and have had ample experience with subjects such as biology, anatomy, physiology, cell biology, genetics, and most life-science courses.
