About Constance

I am currently completing a double degree at the University of Technology Sydney, studying a Bachelor of Business majoring in Finance alongside a Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation.

My academic background gives me a strong understanding of business, finance, strategy and decision-making, which I bring directly into my HSC Business Studies tutoring. I focus on helping students connect syllabus theory with real-world business examples so the content feels practical and easier to remember.

I graduated from St Vincent’s College Potts Point and have several years of tutoring experience working with students across a range of abilities. I understand the demands of the NSW HSC and the importance of not only knowing the content, but also being able to structure responses in a way that meets marking criteria.

I regularly use past HSC questions, NESA marking guidelines, HSC markers’ comments and relevant Trial material to help students understand what strong responses actually look like.

Next year, I will be commencing a graduate role in banking, which reflects my strong interest in business and finance and the professional skills I have developed through university and work experience.

About the lesson

My approach to HSC Business Studies tutoring is structured, practical, and focused on helping students turn syllabus knowledge into strong exam responses.

I teach students how to understand the content, apply relevant business examples, and structure responses in a way that directly addresses NESA marking criteria. Rather than simply memorizing notes, I focus on helping students understand the links between key concepts so they can confidently adapt their knowledge to different questions.

Lessons typically include a combination of content revision, syllabus terminology, case studies, short-answer questions and extended responses. I place particular emphasis on improving response structure, using appropriate business terminology, integrating case studies effectively, and identifying exactly what a question is asking.

I also work extensively with past HSC questions, NESA marking guidelines, and HSC markers’ comments so students can see what separates an average response from a high-mark response. Where available for tutoring use, I also incorporate CSSA Trial-style questions and papers to expose students to more challenging exam questions and strengthen their preparation for Trials and the HSC.

Students receive guidance on exam technique, including directive verbs, time management, planning extended responses and using marker feedback to identify exactly how their answers can be improved.

Lessons are usually 1hr and can be tailored.

I have several years of experience tutoring HSC Business Studies and am currently completing a Bachelor of Business at UTS, majoring in Finance, alongside a Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation. My university studies have strengthened my understanding of business, finance, strategy and decision-making, which I bring into my tutoring.

My lessons are designed for Year 11 and Year 12 NSW Business Studies students, from those looking to strengthen their foundations to high-performing students aiming for a Band 6.
