About April
I was trained in the Suzuki method from the age of six and went on to perform with both orchestras and chamber groups. Along with my classical training, I also played in rock and folk groups as a band member and recording session player.

If you are a beginner, I can teach you proper technique and ear training through the Suzuki method. I can also teach you music theory and literacy in Western musical notation. If you are interested in learning to improvise so that you can play with folk, rock, or jazz groups, I can teach you techniques for that as well. My teaching focuses on developing good habits from the beginning so that you save yourself trouble down the road. Great tone and dexterity come from good posture and technique.
