About Lyra
I have 4 years of experience teaching violin and hold a PhD in String Education. Throughout my career, I have guided students in developing stronger technique, better musical understanding, and greater confidence in performance. Helping learners grow through music is something I value greatly.
My teaching philosophy focuses on supportive instruction, clear communication, and individual progress. I believe every student can achieve meaningful improvement when given the right guidance and encouragement. Lessons are designed to balance challenge with enjoyment.
Outside teaching, I enjoy studying violin literature, participating in ensemble performances, and exploring music education research. These experiences continue to influence my work positively. I am passionate about helping students build skills that support a lifelong appreciation for music.

My violin lessons are designed to help students build reliable technique while developing their own musical voice. We focus on bow control, intonation, posture, tone quality, rhythmic awareness, and phrasing through structured and supportive learning activities. Every lesson encourages steady improvement and growing confidence.
Students explore scales, technical exercises, repertoire studies, listening tasks, performance preparation, and ear-training activities. I provide step-by-step guidance that helps learners understand complex concepts more easily. Lessons are adapted to suit different skill levels and personal objectives.
I enjoy helping students become more comfortable and expressive with the violin. Through encouragement and constructive feedback, learners develop stronger musical habits and greater confidence in their abilities. My goal is to create an environment where students feel motivated to succeed.
