About Zadie
I earned a PhD in Violin Studies and Orchestral Performance after years of advanced study in instrumental technique, ensemble collaboration, and artistic interpretation during my academic journey. During the past 12 years, I have guided students from many different age groups and musical backgrounds, helping them improve through personalised instruction and supportive mentorship. Teaching violin allows me to combine discipline, creativity, and emotional communication in a deeply rewarding way. I enjoy helping learners become more expressive and confident musicians through artistic development.
My teaching style focuses on adaptability, patience, and balanced musical growth. Some students improve best through structured technical repetition, while others respond more naturally to expressive exploration and creative interpretation. I carefully adjust lessons according to each learner’s comfort level, confidence, and artistic goals. Along with technical development, I help students strengthen listening ability, rhythmic awareness, expressive playing, and performance readiness. Building a welcoming and encouraging learning atmosphere remains one of my highest priorities as a teacher.
Outside teaching, I continue practising violin, exploring orchestral repertoire, and studying educational methods that help keep lessons inspiring and engaging. Music remains a powerful source of creativity and emotional expression in my life. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students become more expressive and self-assured throughout their musical journey.

My violin lessons are designed to help students improve technical accuracy while developing expressive playing and musical confidence through structured and supportive instruction. I teach posture, bow coordination, finger placement, rhythm control, intonation, tone quality, and phrasing using practical exercises that feel approachable for learners at every level. Lessons also include scale studies, ear training, sight-reading practice, musical interpretation, and performance preparation activities that help students improve naturally through regular practice. I create a calm learning atmosphere where students feel encouraged to explore music openly and comfortably. Every lesson supports both technical growth and artistic creativity together.
Beginners focus on bow handling, instrument positioning, open string exercises, and simple melodies through patient guidance and organised routines that build healthy playing habits gradually. Intermediate learners improve smoother bow transitions, rhythmic consistency, expressive phrasing, and intonation accuracy through guided studies and focused exercises. Advanced students strengthen emotional interpretation, advanced repertoire, stage confidence, and performance preparation through detailed coaching sessions. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s pace, confidence, and musical interests so progress remains balanced and motivating throughout the learning process.
Learning violin should feel meaningful, rewarding, and inspiring. I encourage students to appreciate gradual progress while building confidence through supportive feedback and consistent practice. Many learners become more disciplined and emotionally expressive as their musical understanding develops naturally over time. My goal is to help students strengthen both technical skill and artistic individuality while building a lasting connection with music.
