About Angie
Teaching provides a direct bridge between my life in the New York Philharmonic and the growth of my students. Clarity matters. I hold a Master of Music in Violin from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
My studio in Chicago serves everyone from 4-year-old beginners to high-schoolers focused on college auditions. Complex contemporary works, extended techniques, and quartertones are essential components of my everyday curriculum. Mastery requires structure. My 13 years of teaching offer the foundation for your success.

During our time together, we focus on bowing, intonation, and specific left hand agility. I integrate music theory and tone production into every study session.
We address classical repertoire alongside modern, experimental sounds as standard practice. Weekly practice modules assigned with every class ensure consistent development between meetings.
These modules provide the roadmap for your improvement. I utilize my 13 years of conservatory-trained experience to guide your specific trajectory. Expect a thoughtful approach to vibrato, tuning by ear, and rigorous grade exam prep for ABRSM or Trinity boards. Your musical goals remain the ultimate destination.
