About Orville
Technique is often the enemy of musicality for most string players. I discovered that balancing rigid posture and hold with genuine expression remains the hardest hurdle.
Holding a Bachelor of Music from Manhattan School of Music taught me that discipline must serve the sound. I spent 13 years refining my craft across diverse venues.
Now I teach 88 students how to master vibrato and intonation. We focus on double stops and shifting positions to expand your range. You will learn to control rhythm and timing while tuning by ear. I keep things practical so you enjoy the process of improvement.

Clarity defines the path toward mastery. Every session starts with a physical check to ensure your posture and hold support your intonation. We move into shifting positions and double stops to develop your ear for tuning. My Bachelor of Music training guides the way I demonstrate vibrato and rhythm and timing.
You receive 8.0 pages of curated exercises to support your growth. We spend time on technical drills that yield clear melodic results. I find it satisfying to hear a student finally lock into a perfect shift. Playing should feel good.
