About Daniel

I am Daniel Bian and I finished year 12 at Melbourne Grammar School in 2022. I was the MGSSO (Melbourne Grammar School Symphony Orchestra) Concertmaster in 2022 and got offered to the 2023 AYO National Music Camp as a first violinist. Some of my other achievements as a violinist include achieving a 44 for VCE Music Performance in 2021 (and one of the few students to be selected in the 2021 VCE Top Class for Music), AMusA with Distinction and LMusA, and got offered a Bachelor of Music Graduate Entry for 2023. Furthermore, I have worked in chamber ensembles such as the Chamber Orchestra in the Melbourne Youth Orchestra program, two string quartets and the Bishop Orchestra in State Music Camp.

I want to teach violin because I love playing the violin, but more importantly, I want to show my passion for music playing and inspire the future generation of musicians. With the experience that I have gained over the past 13.5 years of my musical journey, I am confident and well-equipped for any problem and help students reach their potential.

About the lesson

I have taught violin at a music camp in Christ Church Grammar School in South Yarra, as well as leading my orchestra school. As a tutor or leader, I provide my own ways to overcome difficult problems, varying from violin techinques and challenging musical passages.

I am providing lessons to all students who are interested to learn the violin or want to improve their violin playing, as well as musicianship. Lessons will go for around 50-55mins. My method of teaching violin is specifically built around forming strong and fundamental techniques that are required to overcome any challenges. Not only that, I focus on what it means to perform as a musician and therefore, maximise the quality of music performance.
