About Lou
Fourteen years of experience in the German tradition shapes how I approach the violin today. I remember the precision required when I first held a bow, a memory that anchors my work with current students. My formal training from the Cleveland Institute of Music informs every technical adjustment I suggest.
ADHD and autism-affirming strategies define my teaching, ensuring music theory, sight reading, and exam prep are accessible. We can address left hand agility, rhythm, timing, and orchestral playing together. Developing shifting positions, scales, arpeggios, and tuning by ear is rewarding, so feel free to reach out if you would like to begin.
