About Annie

Welcome to my violin studio! I’m Annie, a passionate and experienced violinist and educator dedicated to helping students of all ages grow musically and artistically. I hold dual Bachelor’s degrees in Violin Performance and Global Business from the University of Redlands, where I was also honored as a President’s Honor Recital Winner. With nearly a decade of private teaching experience since 2016, I’ve worked with students ranging from young beginners to advanced players. My teaching style is highly individualized—I adapt each lesson to match the student’s unique learning pace, goals, personality, and time commitment. I also incorporate ear training, sight-singing, and music theory into lessons to create well-rounded musicianship. Before college, I served as Principal Violinist and Student President of the Golden Sail Symphony Orchestra, performing internationally in 8 countries and leading a section of 18 violinists. My ensemble and solo experience spans from the Baroque to Modern era, and includes multiple awards, such as 1st Place “Summa Cum Laude” at the Vienna International Youth Orchestra Competition. Whether you're picking up the violin for the first time or preparing for auditions and competitions, I’m here to guide and inspire your journey. Let’s make music together!

Welcome to Annie's Violin Studio, a premier destination for violin lessons in Chino, CA! With over 22 years of experience playing the violin, I am passionate about sharing my love for music with students of all ages and skill levels. Teaching Philosophy: I am dedicated to finding the best teaching methods tailored to each student's individual level, learning style, goals, personality, and time commitment. I am passionate about teaching and take great joy in seeing my students make progress and smile. Lesson Plan & Purpose: Lessons are for both experienced musicians seeking further development as well as amateur students who just want to play as a hobby. A typical lesson would consist of: - Checking instrument/tuning - Warm-up, fundamental skill checkup & practice: scales & arpeggios & etude, depending on levels - Commentary & instruction for main piece(s) you are working on, introducing new pieces (if needed) - Instruction on new techniques, depending on level - Additional activities for musicianship development Specialty Offerings: Ear-Training and Sight-Singing Classes: These classes are designed to improve overall musicianship and complement the private violin lessons. Lesson Rates and Options: Rates: $65 per hour Lesson Lengths: 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 1 hour Formats: In-person and online lessons available
