About Gregory
The sound of a well-tuned violin string vibrates through the room during my initial assessments. Having taught 419 students, I recognize the subtle physical adjustments required for tone production and spiccato and staccato bowing.
My approach centers on technical precision regarding vibrato and bowing technique. I also emphasize ear training and sight reading for all levels.
Orchestral playing and intonation remain constant areas of focus. Providing ABRSM and Trinity grade exam prep is a standard part of my professional life. I personally value the discipline this instrument requires.

Strong technique creates the freedom to perform. You determine the speed at which we progress through the repertoire. Mastery requires attention. I provide a monthly progress report shared with parents to keep expectations clear.
We spend significant time on the mechanics of intonation to ensure your practice remains effective. My 13 years of background informs how I structure these sessions. It feels rewarding to watch a student finally command the bow.
