About Vasileios
Hello! My name is Vasileios, and I’m a classically trained violinist with dual degrees in Music Performance and Music Theory from Rhode Island College. I bring over a decade of experience on the violin and eight years of multi-instrumental teaching across violin, viola, cello, piano, and more. I’ve worked as a private instructor at More Than Music and currently teach for the Community Strings Project, where I lead both orchestra classes and one-on-one lessons. My teaching draws on several established pedagogical approaches—including Suzuki, Orff, Kódaly, and Gordon—blended with my own hands-on experience as a performer and educator. I’ve performed in numerous orchestras, chamber ensembles, pit orchestras, and choruses throughout Rhode Island, and I specialize in making music accessible, personalized, and joyful for every student. Whether you’re just starting or preparing for an audition, I’m here to help you grow musically and build confidence through a structured, engaging, and supportive learning experience.

Hi! I’m Vasileios, a dedicated violin instructor with dual degrees in Violin Performance and Music Theory from Rhode Island College. With over 10 years of performance experience and more than 5 years teaching students of all ages and levels, I offer lessons that are both structured and highly personalized.
My teaching method is rooted in classical training but flexible to fit each student's unique goals—whether that means preparing for auditions, improving technique, learning to play by ear, or diving into music theory and composition. I aim to create a supportive, engaging learning environment where students feel confident and motivated.
A typical lesson begins with warm-ups and technique building (such as scales, bowing exercises, or shifting), followed by repertoire tailored to the student’s interests and level. We may also explore theory, ear training, improvisation, or even secondary instruments if the student is curious (I also teach viola, piano, guitar, cello, and bass at a beginner level).
What sets me apart is my multi-instrumental background, my ability to explain music from both a performance and theoretical perspective, and my commitment to making every lesson enjoyable and inspiring. Whether you're a beginner picking up the violin for the first time, an intermediate player looking to improve, or an advanced student preparing for college auditions, I’m here to help you grow as a musician at your own pace.
