About Enoch

Hello, my name is Enoch Cho, and I recently graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelors in Biological Sciences. A little bit about myself: I served as the treasurer and later the vice president of my university's Korean American Student Association and was also both a dancer and choreographer for a kpop/hiphop dance team. In my free time, I enjoy going on runs, listening to music, and playing board games.

With over 10 years of tutoring experience, I have taught students from grades K-12 a wide range of subjects under companies such as Fairfax Collegiate, iD Tech, and the Washington Mindcare Institute. I have also worked under the Children Science Center Lab as both a community outreach intern and a STEM educator to help teach and inspire the next generation a love for STEM.

I am excited to embark on this learning journey with you and help you reach your goals!

About the lesson

As a tutor, my approach is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and actively participating in the learning process. I believe in adapting my teaching method and techniques to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student. By employing a combination of explanation, examples, practice exercises, and feedback, I aim to foster a deep understanding of the subject matter.

A typical lesson plan begins with assessing the student's current knowledge and understanding of the topic, allowing me to identify any knowledge gaps or misconceptions that need to be addressed. Next, I provide a clear and concise explanation of the subject matter, breaking down complex concepts into simpler, more digestible parts. I also make sure to use real-life examples to make the material more relatable and understandable. I encourage questions and provide guidance and support throughout the learning process. Additionally, I assign practice exercises to reinforce the concepts covered and provide constructive feedback to help students improve their understanding and performance.

What sets me apart as a tutor is my ability to adapt to individual students' needs and learning styles. I recognize that each student has their own unique strengths, weaknesses, and goals. By personalizing my approach, I can address their specific needs and help them achieve their desired outcomes. I also focus on building strong foundational knowledge and critical thinking skills, which enables students to apply what they have learned to different contexts and challenges.

My lessons are suitable for a wide range of students, from various educational backgrounds and levels. From the elementary school level to the undergraduate level, whether it's to prepare for an upcoming exam, to relearn the fundamentals of a specific course, or to simply gain insightful information and advice, I can provide the necessary assistance. I cover a broad range of subjects, including but not limited to mathematics, sciences, writing, and standardized test prep.
