About Betsy
I am a committed flute tutor with 8 years of experience helping students achieve their musical goals. I teach school students, college students, and working professionals who want to improve their flute-playing abilities through structured and engaging lessons.
My teaching style focuses on communication, motivation, creativity, and personalized learning. I believe every student deserves individual attention, so I create lessons that match different learning styles and abilities. My classroom is welcoming, interactive, and focused on steady improvement.
Besides flute, I teach music theory, rhythm training, ear training, breath control, beginner keyboard, sight reading, performance techniques, and music appreciation. These related subjects help students develop complete musical understanding.
I place great importance on posture, finger coordination, breathing, rhythm, tone quality, and expressive performance. Students receive regular feedback and practical exercises that strengthen their confidence and technical skills. My goal is to help learners become successful musicians while enjoying every lesson.

I believe that every student learns best when lessons are positive, interactive, and adapted to individual needs. My teaching methodology combines Communication, Accountability, and Integrity to create an enjoyable learning experience where students continue improving with confidence.
Students begin by mastering breathing techniques, posture, embouchure, finger coordination, and tone quality. As these skills become stronger, lessons include scales, rhythm exercises, note reading, articulation, dynamics, phrasing, and stage performance preparation. I encourage students to develop both technical accuracy and musical expression.
Communication allows me to understand each student's goals while explaining techniques clearly. Accountability encourages students to practice regularly, stay organized, and monitor their own improvement. Integrity helps me teach with honesty, patience, fairness, and respect for every learner.
Besides flute, I also teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Staff Notation, Sight Reading, Rhythm Development, Breath Management, Instrument Care, Music Appreciation, Performance Skills, and Practice Planning. These supporting subjects help students become more confident musicians.
My goal is to help students enjoy learning, overcome challenges with confidence, and develop a lifelong passion for music.
