About Peter

Teaching exists because I enjoy seeing others find their unique sound. Have you ever wondered why some singers connect instantly while others fade into the background?

My 9 years of gigging taught me that diction and articulation are the real keys to engagement. Having taught 469 students, I have seen every kind of vocal challenge.

I hold a self-taught background rooted in 10 plus years of performance in Nashville and Austin. My approach covers everything from pop to classical and musical theater styles. It is quite rewarding to help students develop their own voice.

About the lesson

Personalizing a vocal path starts by looking at your current range. I evaluate your pitch control and rhythm during our first meeting. We can examine your vocal health and care to ensure you can sing for years without strain. Sight singing is a major part of the work for performance-focused students.

Advanced learners often prefer to focus on nuanced phrasing and genre styling. Because I keep 469 students in mind, I know how to adapt my methods for absolute beginners too.

We review your performance recordings together each month to track progress. This feedback loop makes it easy to see where you are growing. You will notice improvements in your tone after just a few weeks of consistent practice.
