About Adam
Hi, I’m Adam, the founder of Teachout Voice. I’ve worked with students from all walks of life—children, teens, and adults—helping each one unlock their voice with confidence, clarity, and purpose. With a background in both performance and music education, I bring not only strong technical training, but also the ability to teach in a way that’s encouraging, clear, and highly individualized. My lessons are rooted in healthy vocal technique, proper alignment, and expressive artistry. Whether you're singing gospel, musical theater, pop, or something else, I’ll help you build the tools to sing with freedom, power, and emotional connection. I also place a strong emphasis on mindset and confidence-building, because your voice is more than just sound—it's your story. In addition to general vocal development, I’ve had the privilege of coaching barbershop singers—several of whom have qualified for the international barbershop quartet contest. I’ve also competed at the international quartet contest myself, and I love helping singers refine tight harmonies, unlock resonance, and perform with unity and expression. I’ve helped students prepare for auditions, sing in church, perform confidently on stage, or simply sing for joy. Every lesson is a step toward deeper self-awareness, growth, and musical fluency. If you're ready to grow your voice, deepen your understanding of music, and feel good about how you sound, I’d be honored to work with you. — Adam

As a voice teacher, my approach is rooted in helping each student find confidence and joy in their unique sound. I believe great singing starts with a solid foundation in technique, but it truly comes alive when paired with authentic expression and emotional connection to the music.
I use a mix of classical and contemporary techniques tailored to your goals—whether that’s gospel, musical theatre, pop, or just learning to sing with more freedom and control. My lessons emphasize breath support, vocal placement, alignment, tone, pitch, and performance skills. Alignment is a key part of our work together, because how you stand and carry your body directly affects how freely and efficiently your voice can function.
A typical lesson begins with vocal warm-ups, body alignment checks, and technique-building exercises. From there, we dive into song work—applying technique to real music, exploring interpretation, phrasing, and stage presence. I make space for questions, experimentation, and celebrating progress every step of the way.
What sets me apart is the combination of my professional performance background, my experience as a certified music educator, and my heart as a coach. I understand how vulnerable singing can be, so I create a safe, encouraging space where students feel supported to grow.
These lessons are for students of all levels—beginners to advanced—ages 6 through adult. Whether you're preparing for auditions, singing in church, or just doing it for yourself, we'll build a plan that works for your voice and your life.

Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the teacher
Adam is a wonderful musician and vocalist, with many years experience in classical, broadway, and barbershop styles of singing. I have personally observed his eagerness in mentoring novice singers and helping them to improve their skills. I highly recommend him!
Adam is a great guy with an incredible voice. I know Adam through the competitive barbershop circuit, and I remember being blown away with his sound the first time I heard him sing. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know him personally, and I can say with confidence that Adam would make a supportive teacher.
I have been singing for years but still had some bad habits. I’ve had singing teachers before but none of them managed to get across to me the fundamentals quite like Adam. He has transformed my singing. I now get a lot of feedback when I perform about the quality of my voice.
Adam has a fantastic singing voice himself and so I knew he would know what he was talking about. He has managed to help me understand aspects of good singing that no one else has ever managed to do.
I am eternally grateful for all his help.Adam uses his extensive knowledge of different vocal styles and his ability to demonstrate them to help me improve my singing. Adam’s enthusiasm for music is contagious and he makes learning fun!
Adam and I sang in a barbershop quartet together for several years, where he helped to coach me and the other quartet members on a weekly basis. He is not only an amazing vocalist, but he gives very effective and memorable advice and exercises to improve vocal performance. Adam's passion for always improving his own vocal techniques and emotional expression is inspirational and contributes to his effectiveness as a mentor. You will work hard, but you will definitely improve as a vocalist!
Adam and I have been singing together for over seven years. He has taught me more about my voice than any other voice teachers. His ear is very aware of the little details and he holds himself and those he teaches to a high standard. He is a fantastic teacher and he never gives up.

Lesson Commitment & Tuition Policy
At Teachout Voice, I operate on a monthly tuition model to ensure consistent progress and a stable schedule for all students. Lessons are reserved in a dedicated weekly time slot, which becomes your guaranteed spot each week.
If you prefer to attend lessons every other week, that’s totally fine—but the full monthly tuition still applies to reserve your time. This is because once a slot is held for you, it’s no longer available to other students, and I rely on a consistent teaching schedule to serve my community and support my livelihood.
Tuition is as follows:
$320/month for weekly 60-minute lessons
$180/month for weekly 30-minute lessons
This policy ensures fairness, stability, and the opportunity for all students to grow with the consistency they need. I’d love to support you in your vocal journey if this approach fits your goals and lifestyle!
