About Cara

I’m a singing tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Songwriting (Voice Primary), dedicated to helping singers build both technical skill and artistic confidence. My lessons are influenced by songwriting, so we focus on phrasing, dynamics, and lyrical storytelling. I specialize in R&B, Soul, Acoustic Pop, and Contemporary Christian music, guiding students to create a tone that feels authentic and connected. Expression always comes first.

I use DAWs, vocal processors, and studio microphones to teach students how to perform and record in contemporary settings. Vocal looping, live electronic performance, and layered arrangements are all part of my teaching approach. We practice harmonies and multi-layered vocal production so students hear themselves in a fully realized sound. Singing isn’t just about singing well — it’s about crafting your artistic voice.

I emphasize lyric interpretation, phrasing, tone shaping, and dynamics to make every performance impactful. I work with both hobbyists and aspiring recording artists to meet them where they are. I use simple recording setups so students can capture their own demos and evaluate their progress. Whether preparing for live performance, recording projects, or songwriting, I focus on expressive authenticity and building confidence. Lessons are structured but flexible, tailored to each student’s goals and musical direction. I help singers flourish in both ensemble and solo contexts, enhancing artistry and stage presence.

Through hands-on guidance, detailed feedback, and creative exercises, students refine their craft and cultivate their personal style. Each lesson strengthens storytelling, phrasing, and musical intuition. My goal is to empower singers to create, perform, and share music that feels uniquely theirs.
