About Cathy
Singers prepping for high-stakes auditions often hear their own voice differently than an audience does. I help you find that missing clarity by focusing on VOCAL RANGE EXTENSION and genre styling across pop, classical, and musical theater. After 13 years of teaching, I understand the weight of stage fear management and the physical demands of constant performing.
My Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan grounds my perspective in technique, from diction to nuanced microphone usage. We might find time for a chat about your goals if you are curious.

Working through a song feels like solving a complex puzzle when the pieces finally click into place. I use my musical theatre training to help you master rhythm, phrasing, and the art of consistent pitch control.
We incorporate essential warm up exercises to keep your instrument healthy while we tackle your specific repertoire needs. Sight singing and exam preparation become manageable tasks rather than daunting chores. You will find my teaching style centers on honest feedback and building a solid foundation for your voice.
I focus on creating a balanced environment where technical hurdles are simply part of the creative process. It remains a priority to keep the atmosphere calm while we work through the details.
