About Gary
"I hold a Diploma in Music Performance from the Musicians Institute Hollywood. It is a solid foundation.
My teaching career has allowed me to work with 173 students ranging from intermediate to advanced learners. I focus on the mechanics of your sound. My background in performing provides a real world context for the vocal exercises I assign.
I treat singing as a physical discipline that requires consistent maintenance. Expect a straightforward dialogue about your voice. You will find that I keep things grounded and accessible throughout our sessions."

"You should expect your first meeting to involve a comprehensive diagnostic vocal assessment to clarify your current range and technique. I look at your breathing control and diction patterns right away. It is usually quite revealing for students who have never had their voice analyzed by a professional before. We then move into specific exercises for belting technique.
Sight singing practice makes up a portion of our time to ensure you remain musically literate. My 13 years of experience means I have seen almost every type of vocal issue and can offer quick, effective corrections. I emphasize vocal health because your instrument is your body. We keep a steady, groove-focused rhythm to help you reach your goals."
