About Skye
I have 8 years of experience teaching singing and hold a Doctorate in Vocal Performance and Music Education. My training includes advanced vocal technique, pedagogy, expressive performance, and interdisciplinary musical studies. I teach with patience, attention to individual needs, and a focus on holistic development.
Lessons integrate technical exercises, repertoire exploration, expressive interpretation, and performance preparation. I aim to create an encouraging environment where students feel safe to experiment, challenge themselves, and grow as vocalists.
Outside teaching, I perform professionally, attend masterclasses, and engage in research on vocal pedagogy. I am passionate about supporting learners as they develop technical mastery, expressive artistry, and stage confidence. Helping students discover their unique voice and achieve their musical potential is the most rewarding part of my work.

Singing lessons with me are designed to strengthen vocal technique, build expressive depth, and cultivate performance confidence. Each student begins with an assessment of vocal range, breath support, pitch accuracy, resonance, articulation, and stylistic versatility. This evaluation allows me to design customised lesson plans tailored to each learner’s technical abilities, musical interests, and personal goals.
Lessons emphasise foundational exercises in breath control, resonance development, pitch accuracy, diction, and dynamic variation. Students practise scales, arpeggios, vocalises, and repertoire pieces that integrate expressive phrasing, stylistic nuance, and emotional interpretation. I incorporate techniques for building vocal stamina, tone clarity, and expressive storytelling. Feedback is continuous, highlighting areas of improvement while encouraging artistic growth.
Advanced learners work on complex repertoire, performance techniques, stage presence, improvisation, and mental preparation strategies. Lessons include memorisation techniques, interpretive coaching, self-recording for self-assessment, and performance simulations. My aim is to help students develop a technically strong, expressive, and confident voice capable of captivating audiences while nurturing lifelong appreciation for the art of singing.
