About Mariah
"Singing is about finding the truth in a song, and I want you to feel that connection too. Having taught 362 students ranging from kids to working professionals, I have learned that everyone has a unique resonance. My own journey involves 13 years of gigging in the American South and Southwest with an acoustic guitar in my hands.
A Bachelor of Fine Arts from Belmont University helped me refine my technical ear. I treat every voice with the respect it deserves based on the gospel and blues traditions I know well. Whether you are a returning learner or a teen, my goal is to keep our sessions grounded and honest."

"I talk too much during the first few minutes. We keep the pace steady and high energy.
Vocal health and care come before belting technique. Diction and articulation make your lyrics clear to the room. I use my Bachelor of Fine Arts training to address pitch control and resonance.
Stage fear management is a huge part of our time together. I share recorded warm-up routines for your daily home practice. You are welcome to join me for a session."
