About Yip
I am an enthusiastic singing tutor with 10 years of experience guiding students in their musical journey. Music has always been a big part of my life, and teaching allows me to share that passion with others. I teach school and college students and help them learn the fundamentals of singing step by step.
My lessons include breathing exercises, pitch training, voice control, and expressive singing. I believe that strong basics are important for every singer, and I make sure students understand each concept clearly. Over the years, I have helped many students gain the confidence to perform in school functions and college cultural events. Their progress and achievements are some of the most rewarding moments of my teaching career.
I always encourage students to practice regularly and enjoy the process of learning music. My teaching style is supportive and motivating so that students feel comfortable expressing themselves through singing.

My teaching style for singing is centred on flexibility, creativity, understanding, and organised time management. I believe that every student can improve their singing voice with consistent practice and proper guidance. I start by teaching foundational skills such as breathing, posture, vocal warm-ups, pitch control, tone, and voice projection.
Creativity is emphasised because singing is a form of personal expression that allows students to communicate emotion and connect with music. I encourage students to explore different songs, styles, and interpretations to develop a unique musical identity.
Understanding each student’s strengths and weaknesses allows me to provide personalised guidance and constructive feedback. Lessons are carefully structured to make the best use of time, including technical exercises, song practice, and performance preparation. In addition to singing, I also teach rhythm, music theory, and stage confidence.
