About Dianna
"The art of conversation lies in listening.” — Malcolm Forbes Hey everyone, I’m truly excited about the opportunity to collaborate with you as we embark on this journey to develop a vibrant, dynamic, and impactful voice! Life presents us with various challenges, and during these times, many of us may experience vocal fatigue or seek to communicate more effectively. Whether you’re preparing for a performance that captivates an audience or striving to express yourself more clearly, rest assured that I am here to support you. I approach our collaboration with genuine curiosity about your unique goals and am eager to find creative, practical strategies to help you express yourself fully. My journey in this field has been rich and diverse. I hold an MFA in Acting and a B.A. in Acting and Opera. Building on this foundation, I trained to become a Designated Linklater Voice teacher, which beautifully merges acting and movement techniques with voice work. The Linklater Voice Methodology is grounded in a holistic approach that incorporates methods such as the Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, and the Merry Conway/Trish Arnold swings. It also draws on anatomical studies infused with imagination. This powerful methodology fosters vocal freedom through practical warm-ups that help you develop a deep understanding of your voice. In addition to voice training, I’m certified in Colaianni Speech-work and utilize Phonetic Pillows. This seamless integration of speech, articulation, and dialect techniques flows from the Linklater approach, emphasizing identity as the foundation for clear communication. Together, we’ll build your confidence in articulation, helping you connect to your true self and express your message authentically. I have had the pleasure of working with a wide range of talented individuals—from Broadway and Film/TV actors to scientists, teachers, and international non-native speakers. I teach both in NYC at universities and conservatories, as well as privately in my home studio. I am passionate about movement, voice, articulation, acting, and the world of creative expression, including theater, film, voiceovers, and interdisciplinary arts. My ultimate goal is to inspire you to reach your creative potential and instill confidence in your self-expression. Let’s embark on this journey together!
